General Assistance Program (GAP)
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA or Agency) is responsible for administration of various programs that provide for portion of public health, welfare and the environment on all lands of the United States. The environmental statutes, EPA has established the national system for pollution prevention, abatement and Agency has established regulatory procedures for standards setting, permitting, information gathering in inspections, and enforcement for facilities and operations that may impact the quality of the environment Indian policy, presidential Memorandum and Executive Orders, EPA works with Tribal governments on government basis and recognizes Tribes as the primary parties for making environment policy decisions our program responsibilities affecting Indian reservations, their environments, and the health and welfare reservation populous. The EPA will assist Tribes in developing environmental protection program, Assistance program Act of 1992, as amended (42 U.S.C.).
The CNEP recycles all the following items:
Compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs), and with other energy-efficient lighting such as linear fluorescent and high intensity discharge (HID) lamps contain a very small amount of mercury, an element essential to achieving energy savings. While these lamps help consumers and businesses cut their lighting energy usage and reduce energy costs, it is important that any product containing mercury be properly managed when it becomes waste to protect public health and the environment.
Please bring all recyclable items listed above to the CNEP’s office located in the Caddo Nation main office building and we will properly dispose of them.
